Application Form for Membership at
DayBreak Community Church
If you support the values and mission of DayBreak Community Church, we encourage you to consider becoming a member of our congregation. Membership means you are willing to accept part of the responsibility of promoting and maintaining what this congregation believes God is calling us to do in Airdrie.
Membership allows you to have a voice AND a vote in the decision-making regarding all aspects of the vision and ministry priorities of the congregation. Membership is required for service on church Boards. At the same time, it is possible, of course, to take part in many activities of DayBreak Church without being a member such as worship, children’s ministry, small group activities, and other ministry opportunities.
Membership is described as follows in our church constitution:
Membership at DayBreak Community Church shall consist of those professing faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who have been baptized and are in substantial agreement with the Statement of Faith and Constitution of the church, and have been publicly received into fellowship.
Please feel free to request a copy of our Statement of Faith and Constitution for more information.
Individuals are accepted into membership at DayBreak following an interview with a Church Council Member and an affirmative vote of the Council. Applicants are accepted for membership on the basis of their testimony of faith in Christ or by transfer from another congregation of similar faith/practice. Those applying by testimony on the basis of their faith are expected to have been baptized as a believer. While our method of baptism at DCC is by full immersion, exceptions can be made in certain circumstances. A transfer of membership is also acceptable upon the receipt of a letter of transfer verifying the applicant is a member in good standing in another congregation of similar faith/practice.
To begin the process of becoming a member at DayBreak Community Church, simply fill in the following form and submit it to the church office or to a Council Member. You will then be contacted for follow-up.
